Robert M. Myron Sr.

May 7, 1939 ~ December 22, 2017 (age 78) 78 Years Old

Robert Myron Sr., loving husband of the late Virginia June Myron, passed peacefully in his home on December 22, 2017.  Robert was born on May, 7 1939 in New Haven, Connecticut to the late George and Stella Myron.  He leaves behind his son Robert (Jamey) Myron Jr., Stepsons Thomas (Linda) MacDonough and Edward MacDonough, grandchildren Amanda Michaela and Alyssa Marie, step grandchildren Michael (Jhenna) MacDonough and Thomas (Jaime) MacDonough, and step great grandchildren Ayden and Jace.  He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews and longtime friends.

Robert, also known as Bob, was a man who lived a hard life.  In his younger years he was a painter of houses, bridges and church steeples.  He was a United States Air Force Veteran who worked in the motor pool.  He was diagnosed with MS during this time.  After being Honorably Discharged for medical reasons, he went on to learn about television repair.  Later he became an accomplished woodworker where he pursued his hobby of woodworking from a wheelchair for the last 37 years.

Robert Jr. remembers his dad for all he taught him about carpentry, auto mechanics, hunting, fishing, boating, integrity and life.  His fondest memories are spending time with his dad on Lake Champlain in Vermont.

Although Thomas did not have the opportunity or pleasure to have the quantity of experiences that Robert Jr. had, he did benefit greatly from the time they spent together making it very easy to love him and call him pop.  His humor, stamina, guidance and love are forever in our minds and hearts.

Family and friends are invited to Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road, North Branford, CT on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 5pm - 7pm.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 20, 2018 10am at St. Augustine Church, 30 Caputo Road, North Branford, CT.  Burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
