Lawrence Hart

Lawrence B. Hart, 70, of East Haven Ct. passed away on January 30, 2018, at the Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford, after complications from cancer.

Lawrence was born in New Haven, Ct., January 27 1948, he was the husband of the late Nancy Hart and son of the late Leslie & Katherine Hart, and the father of the late Bruce Hart.

He is survived by his brothers, Leslie (Bobbie) Hart of Beaufort SC, Robert (Joanne, late) of Tallahassee, FL, Twin brother Philip (Sharon) Hart of Branford, CT and sisters Kathleen (Arthur) Oltman of Ormond Beach, Fl and Patricia (Richard, late) Cannata of Melbourne, FL. and his grandson Cameron Hart, step daughter Katherine (Robert) Mizla, stepson William (Inta) Waylett and many nieces and nephews.

Lawrence served in the Air Force from 1968-1980.  He had a great passion in creating stained glass, this passion grew after he and his wife visited several cathedrals in Paris. Lawrence was an artist in stained glass and was commissioned for private collections.

His family would like to thank the staff at West Haven VA Hospital, Yale New Haven Hospital, Gaylord Hospital and the Masonic Hospice, for the care given to Lawrence during his time there.

Friends are invited to a funeral service Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Rd, North Branford.  A private burial will be at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a donor’s choice.
