John Miller Calcagni

John Miller Calcagni of North Branford, CT passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 28, 2018.  He was the beloved Husband of Mary Prando Calcagni for 66 years. John was born on November 10, 1929 in Barre, Vermont to the late John L. Calcagni and Alelcia Miller Calcagni. 

John was a graduate of Hillhouse High School Class of 1947.  His banking career started at First National Bank in New Haven, CT, then on to Community Banking Company of North Branford, retiring from Shoreline Banking Company of Madison, CT.  John Attended Stone Business School, graduated from NABAC School at the University of Wisconsin, Williams School of Banking. He was President of New Haven Chapter of A.I.B. and a member of Corinthian Lodge No. 63 AFAM North Haven, as well as a 32nd Degree Shriner Valley of New Haven.  His hobbies were hunting, fishing and pleasant family times at Lake Memphremagog in Newport, Vermont.

He is survived by his sons, John C. (Raeanne) Calcagni of Winston-Salem, NC and Arthur F. (Nancy) Calcagni of Niantic, CT. and his cherished grandsons John Michael and David James Calcagni and Timothy Lawrence Calcagni.  He is also survived by his sister MaryAnn Malmberg and brother Douglas (Leslie) Calcagni.

Family and friends may visit Keenan Funeral Home Friday, February 2 from 5 pm – 8 pm.  Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford, CT on Saturday, February 3 at 11:00 am.
