Jeffrey Alaska

Jeffrey B. Alaska, 21, of North Branford passed away suddenly at his home on May 27, 2017. He was the beloved son of Andrew Alaska and Belinda Eaker Murel. Jeff was born in Bellevue, Washington on May 5, 1996.

Jeff graduated from North Branford High School in 2014, continued his education at the University of Connecticut for pre-Pharmacy and more recently at Gateway College. He was brilliant with computers and worked at Best Buy.  At a young age, he was a Boy Scout and earned a black belt in karate. Jeff enjoyed being outside, hiking, and was proud of the various home repair projects he did with his Dad. He had a great sense of humor, was really outgoing, and even strangers immediately felt close to him. Most importantly, he never took life for granted and emphasized this to everyone. He LOVED his family and friends; he will be sadly missed.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother, Jason Alaska of North Branford, and his two sisters: Jennifer Alaska of North Branford, and Margarita Vul of England. Jeff is also survived by his maternal grandfather Harold Eaker of Uvalde, Texas, and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Family and friends are welcome to visit the Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road, North Branford on Friday, June 2, from 4-7pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 3, 10am at St. Augustine Church in North Branford.  Reception will follow at Northford Park from 11am-1pm.
