My sincere condolences to the Day family. Ed was one of my favorite people at Race Brook Country Club. I enjoyed and cherish every round of golf that we played together. I always admired his interest in improving his game and adding a few yards to his tee shots. It was always fun to hang with him at the range and work on our swings. He was a wealth of knowledge. I was really impressed with his service in WW2. He shared with me his story about arriving on the beach at Normandy and the fact that he was there and part of that crucial exercise that eventually led to the end of the war makes him a big-time hero in my book. Eddy, that was a life well lived. We will miss you! Don Hanson

Doc was such a wonderful man and I am so happy that we were able to enjoy a good number of rounds of golf together. He will always be remembered for his youthful enthusiasm for life and his pride in his family.

His locker was across from mine so we would see each other frequently and had many enjoyable conversations, usually about our families and their golf accomplishments. He was so proud of his family that he would just glow. I will miss him dearly.
