My sincere condolences to the Day family. Ed was one of my favorite people at Race Brook Country Club. I enjoyed and cherish every round of golf that we played together. I always admired his interest in improving his game and adding a few yards to his tee shots. It was always fun to hang with him at the range and work on our swings. He was a wealth of knowledge. I was really impressed with his service in WW2. He shared with me his story about arriving on the beach at Normandy and the fact that he was there and part of that crucial exercise that eventually led to the end of the war makes him a big-time hero in my book. Eddy, that was a life well lived. We will miss you! Don Hanson

Dear Day Family,
We were very saddened to hear of Doc's/Ed's passing.
Doc was such a wonderful man and I am so happy that we were able to enjoy a good number of rounds of golf together. He will always be remembered for his youthful enthusiasm for life and his pride in his family.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time.

Please accept our deepest sympathy and condolances. "Doc" was one of my favorite members at RBCC and I will miss his smiling face and gracious manner. His locker was across from mine so we would see each other frequently and had many enjoyable conversations, usually about our families and their golf accomplishments. He was so proud of his family that he would just glow. I will miss him dearly.

Betsy and Family
Your dad/grandpa was a very special man. My mom and I always enjoyed talking with him at the club. Gentlemen like doc are hard to come by. The love and pride he had for his grandchildren will be forever members

I was lucky to have been referred to Dr. Day upon my arrival to West Haven in the 70's.. He was an excellent person and very caring to his patients, along with his wife, Peg. Hoping your knowing that those he touched during his life feel the loss, will comfort you during this difficult time. Sincerest condolences.

Dear Mary (Day) Stepanke- While I did not know know your father, I did know you as a fine person and student at Amity JHS - Bethany many years ago. More often than not, good people come from good parents and good families. You doubtless came from a good family then, and good people tend to stay good people for a lifetime. I am sure that you still are. Having lost both of my parents i can feel what you must be going through. My Sympathy !!!

My deepest condolence to you all. My heart breaks with this news. With your father delivering me and my siblings and then delivering my two kids, there was a special bond. I will always cherish the memories of your dad and mom, all the visits I had with your dad at his house and at the apartment. I pray for comfort for you all during this difficult time.
Fondly,
Diane Caprio DeNardis
