Donna Fox

Donna Hartson Fox, 88, loving wife of Frederick W. Fox, entered into eternal life on Saturday March 4, 2017 at Evergreen Woods Healthcare Center in North Branford.  Donna was born in Milwaukee, WI to the late Irving and Gladys (Gullikson) Hartson.  Donna was a longtime Fairfield resident, moving to North Branford in the past three years. Donna graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in sociology and psychology. Donna then worked in the banking community in the towns of Madison and Milwaukee.  After moving to Fairfield Connecticut in 1964, she attended Fairfield University where she earned a Master’s Degree and a Certificate of Advanced Study in school Psychology.  Donna was then employed by the Newtown Board of Education for twenty years as a School Psychologist. Donna enjoyed foreign travel and this interest led her and her husband to pursue varied travel experiences together. She was an active member of the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church, where she served as a deaconess as well as on various committees. Besides her husband, she is survived by two children; a loving daughter Kathy (Ted) McMahon of Madison, CT, and a loving son Craig Fox of Bend, OR. She is also survived by two grandchildren; Ted (Alex) McMahon and Caitlin (Mike) Hulit and a sister in law Katie Hartson.  Donna was predeceased by her brother William Hartson.  A memorial service will be held on Monday March 20, 2017 at 10am at the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church, 1045 Old Academy Rd., Fairfield. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
