Donald R. LaVallee Jr.

Donald "Sonny" Robert LaVallee, 56, a cherished resident of Milford, Connecticut, passed away on March 11th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that touched the hearts of all who knew him. Born on July 23rd, 1967, in Bridgeport, CT, Sonny was the beloved son of the late Donald and Marie LaVallee.

Sonny was a man of many passions and interests. He found immense joy in his work as school bus driver, a faculty manager at the bowling alley, where his dedication and expertise shone brightly. His role at Mayflower held a special place in his heart, offering a heightened sense of responsibility that he embraced wholeheartedly. Beyond his professional endeavors, Sonny had a deep love for computers and for technology in general. He was a tinkerer in his spare time. He also loved long drives, capturing the occasional breathtaking photo along the way. Sonny's intellect and complexity were apparent to all who knew him, his curiosity leading him to delve into various subjects and concepts on a whim. His enthusiasm for life was contagious, and he approached each day with a zest that inspired those around him.

Sonny's greatest joy in life was his lifelong partner, Diana Tremonte, who stood by his side through thick and thin, sharing in life's adventures and creating countless cherished memories together. He is also survived by his niece, Samantha, and her children.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Sonny's life will be held on Monday, March 18th, at 10 AM at St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Sonny's presence in our lives brought light and laughter, and his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. Though he may be gone, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered as a beloved partner, devoted friend, and cherished member of the community.
