Daniel T. Hunt Jr.

Daniel T. Hunt Jr., 82, of Northford passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford following a long illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia (Bartini) Hunt. Daniel was born in New Haven on February 8, 1935 to the late Daniel Sr. and Ingrid Hunt.

Daniel worked for more than 20 years at Armstrong Rubber in West Haven. He loved the open waters as a boater and fisherman, and on dry land he loved motorcycles. He had a true talent for woodworking, and crafted many furniture items. Daniel was also an avid Boston Celtics fan. He was a good father, husband and friend, and he will be sadly missed.

Daniel is survived by his four children: Joseph Hunt, David (Kristen) Hunt, Eileen (Eric) Dahlquist, and Pauline (Gene) Handy. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Christine, Adam, Melissa and Kyle. Daniel was predeceased by his brother George Hunt and sister Mildred Uhlan.

Family and friends may visit the Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road, North Branford on Tuesday May 30th from 4-6:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for both Daniel and Patricia Hunt on Friday June 2, at St. Monica Church at 10am. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
