Beatrice E. Hinchey

Mrs. Beatrice "Bette" Hinchey (Dillon) died peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital's St. Raphael's Campus on 5/17/17 after a short illness at the age of 91.

Bette was born on 8/14/1925 to John and Elsie Dillon, and married William J. Hinchey in 1960.  A native of New Haven, she made her home in Hamden, CT for over 50 years.  She was a tireless homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and wife.  Bette enjoyed watching professional football and had an avid interest in extreme weather, but her greatest pleasure was her family.

Mrs. Hinchey is survived by her husband, William (Bill); daughter Susan Hinchey-Walls (Lawrence); on, William Hinchey, Jr. (Stacey); her twin brother Bernard Dillon; her grandchildren, Matthew Russo, Victoria DeCristofaro, Brian Walls, Sadie Hinchey, Steven Fuegen and her great grandchildren CJ Costa, Giovanni DeCristofaro and Lorenzo DeCristofaro.  She was predeceased by her daughter Lydia Russo Connelly; her son Daniel Russo and her brothers John, Walter and Norman Dillon.

Mrs. Hinchey's private service will be a Keenan Funeral Home. 330 Notch Hill Rd. North Branford
