Alan Jervis Slatter

Alan Slatter, 91, of North Branford, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side, on November 23, 2017.  Alan was born in London, England on November 1, 1926 and came to the United States in 1956 after serving with the British Forces in the Middle East.    Alan was a talented artist who also loved to garden and had beautiful flowering gardens. He enjoyed travelling but he also loved to come home.  Along with his wife, Alan was obsessed with golf and was a member of Lyman Orchards Golf course for years.

 He was in the creative side of advertising in London England, New York, New Haven and eventually had his own agency before retiring.  

He is survived by his loving wife Patricia of 56 years and his wonderful cat Libby.  A proper English gentleman, Alan was a kind and loving man who had many friends who admired and loved him.

At the family’s request services will be private; there will be no calling hours. Memorial donations in Alan’s name may be sent to Forgotten Felines, P.O. Box 734, Clinton, CT  06413.  Arrangements are under the direction of Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Rd. North Branford, CT 06471.
