Mary Maillet Dunphy

BRANFORD & NORTH BRANFORD ~ Mary Maillet Dunphy, 89, of Branford, formerly of North Branford, loving wife of the late of Warren M. Dunphy, passed away December 18, 2014 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born in Hartford on November 29, 1925, daughter of the late Percy and Gladys Brown Maillet. She married, became a homemaker and raised her family. She was a member of the Residents Board at The Hearth at Gardenside and was a five time champion of the Spelling Bee there. She is survived by her children, Warren Dunphy and his wife Phyllis of North Branford, Nancy Wilson of Branford and Daniel Dunphy and his wife Louise of Guilford; her sisters, Barbara Gasparini and her husband Richard and Florence Maillet; her grandchildren, Dawn Dunphy and her fiancé Michael Nicolelli, Katherine Dunphy and her husband Michael Chilmark, Rachel McClure and her husband James, Emily Dunphy and her fiancé Michael Naylor and Elisabeth Dunphy; her step-granddaughters, June Frederick and her husband Harvey and Barbara Dunphy; her great grandchildren, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Evan and Samantha; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Charlotte Maillet, Paul Maillet, Margaret Bouchard and Anne Liebler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Branford. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Family and friends are invited to call from 4-7 pm on Sunday at Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road, (Rte. 22 So. at Rte. 80.), North Branford.
